PANJIM: The State government on Wednesday allotted departments to IAS officers, including Chief Secretary Dhamendra Sharma, who will hold crucial departments Home, Tourism, PWD, Transport, Vigilance and Personnel.
Secretary to Chief Minister, J Ashok Kumar, has been given additional charge of Director Municipal Administration and GSUDA Member Secretary.
Dr Ranbir Singh, who is currently Secretary (Forests) has been given additional charge of Personal Secretary to Governor Dr Mridula Sinha in addition to which, he will also hold Environment, Science & Technology, Mines & Geology, Education, General Administrative Department and Water Resources Department.
Some of the main departments allotted to Padma Jaisal include NRI Affairs and Official Language. IAS officer Sanjay Goel has been allotted Power and Panchayats besides being appointed as nodal officer for ODF and Swachh Bharat Mission.
Finance Secretary Daulat Hawaldar has also been given charge of Information & Publicity, Archives and Archaeology among others, whereas P S Reddy who is currently Administrative Reforms Secretary, will hold Tribal Welfare, Handicrafts, Textile & Coir and five other departments.
Health Secretary Sudhir Mahajan has been allotted Urban Development, Industries, Trade & Commerce, Revenue and Law, Judiciary & Legislative Affairs. Town & Country Planning Secretary B R Singh has got Housing, Sports and Protocol among other departments, while Ports Secretary Govind Jaiswal has been allocated River Navigation and Fisheries. He has also been made Special Secretary Vigilance.
The government has retained the departments to IT Secretary Ameya Abhyankar, who is also Special Secretary of Finance Budget, Director of PPP Cell and CEO Entertainment Society of Goa.
