PANJIM: Heavy rains on Thursday caused waterlogging and traffic jams in different parts of the State.
The changing wind pattern triggered following a deep depression over the West-Central Bay of Bengal, which brought very heavy rainfall.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa Observatory has predicted more showers till Friday; after which no weather warnings are issued for now.
In the last 24 hours, the State reported nearly one inch of rainfall. The post-monsoon season total has been 4.6 inches, which is 15 per cent above normal.
IMD said tonight or tomorrow morning the clouds are likely to move north eastward, which are currently moving in the south-east direction.
“The depression over north interior Karnataka and adjoining areas of Maharashtra is likely to move west-northwest wards and emerge into east central Arabian Sea off Maharashtra coast around Friday morning,” IMD said.
The formation of the system has delayed the monsoon withdrawal. Goa has witnessed 165 inches of rainfall.
