MAPUSA: Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club hammered Guirim Sports and Cultural Club (SCC) 5-0 in the inaugural match of the Milagres Cup, organized by Milagres Sports Club, Mapusa, at Duler Stadium, here, on Tuesday. They led 3-0 at half time.
Warren Braganza scored the first hat-trick of the tournament. The striker opened the floodgates in the fifth minute after receiving a through ball from Lester. Vagator established their superiority and inflated their tally with goals from Nyron Dias and Tanay Naik.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by chief guest Salvador Fernandes in the presence of guest of honour Roque Carvalho.
