MAPUSA: St. Anthony’s SC, Marna blanked Augustias SC Pomburpa 4-0 to enter the semi-finals of the Milagres Soccer Cup, organised by Milagres Sports Club, at Duler Stadium, here on Wednesday.
Marna were once again at their very best as they went into the breather with a one goal cushion.
Gaurav Vaigankar opened the account for Marna as he scored in the 27th minute with a neat placement.
On crossing over, Marna hammered in two quick goals in the 62nd and 65th minutes of play through Sangam Pednekar and Joel Fernandes respectively both from inside the penalty box to make it 3-0.
Marna’s hunger for goals did not end as Anslem De Souza added his name to the scorers’ list as he latched a right footer from outside the penalty box to make it 4-0.
