It is strange to note Salvador do Mundo Village Panchayat has no full-time secretary to serve the locals. This has inconvenienced the villagers in getting their work done in due time.
When enquired, the panchayat staff is unable to tell of the availability of the secretary. The locals have to visit the panchayat office a number of times and return home dejected when they find the secretary absent.

To add to their problems, the sarpanch also becomes helpless to do any work to help the people. Application for water connection, griha scheme as also electricity have remained pending for long.
One wonders when a full-time secretary to the panchayat will be made available to meet the needs of the villagers.
