PANJIM: SS Candolim thrashed Siolim, Sodiem, 5-0 in the Second Division League Bardez zone organized by Goa Football Association, at Quitula ground, on Thursday.
Canute DeSouza scored two goals in the 12th and 82nd minute while Saprem Digkar(25th minute), Mauger D’Souza (27th minute) and Lesten Martin (48th minute) scored one each for the winners.
In another game held at Sangolda ground, St Anthony’s SC, Marna beat Pilerne SC by a 2-0 deficit. After a goalless first half, Pushparaj Mandrekar and Sidhart Shirodkar scored to help St. Anthony’s win.
At Sirsaim ground, Sinquerim Sports Club and Vagator PYSC played out a 2-2 draw. Karan Hoble opened the scoring for the Sinquerim side. Eltrin Viegas brought the Vagator side level terms before the half. Moving over, Shubham Gaunkar gave the Sinquerim SC the lead again in the 55th minute but Eltrin completed his brace as he scored the equaliser in the 84th minute.
