“When he (Parrikar) gives an assurance that ghar-wapsi could never touch Goa, it means a programme like this does exist in the rest of India and the BJP is pushing it. Or else, how can he claim to control it?” Congress spokesperson Sunil Kawthankar asked. The Congressman claimed that the communal policies of the BJP led to the saffron party’s humiliating defeat in the Delhi Assembly election.

PANJIM: Congress party on Wednesday slammed Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar saying his controversial comment that “ghar-wapsi could never touch Goa” confirms that the re-conversion programme was being calibrated by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party across the country.
