MARGAO: A brilliant hat trick by striker Clifford Dias helped Anthonian’s Club of Deussua thump Naranpoi Boys 3-1 to advance into the quarter-finals of CRC inter-ward football tournament organized by CRC Chinchinim at church ground, Chinchinim, on Sunday. The teams were tied 1-1 at the lemon break
Clifford Dias put Anthonians into the lead in the 10th minute but Scanny Fernandes equalized for Naranpoi Boys in the 25th minute.
Crossing over, Anthonians put up a better performance and Clifford pumped in two more goals in quick successions for his hat-trick.
