VASCO, JAN 12 The 32-year-old man had a lucky escape, after the car which he was driving went off the road and fell on the railway tracks near Dabolim Junction along the highway in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The 32-year-old man had a lucky escape, after the car which he was driving went off the road and fell on the railway tracks near Dabolim Junction along the highway in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The driver was removed from the trapped car five minutes before a goods train ran over the car.
Prashant Fadte, younger brother of Chicalim Panch Hemant, escaped with fracture and minor injury, when his Tata Indica car veered off the railway overbridge at about 12.45 am.
Prashant, who resides in the same locality was proceeding towards his residence when a cow suddenly came in his way.
The people, who rushed to Prashant’s rescue, said the rear portion of the car got stuck in the small wall and the car came down the railway track.
The driver was removed from the trapped car five minutes before a goods train ran over the car.
“God is great. Despite such a deadly blow, my brother survived, it’s nothing but a miracle,” said Panch Hemant.
He said the victim, who sustained fracture on his leg, has been discharged from the hospital.
