PANJIM: The much-awaited Common Minimum Programme of the coalition government is ready and will be announced on Sunday, which also happens to be the Goa Revolution Day.
The 11-point CMP was finalised at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and attended by coalition partners.
“It will define Goenkarponn. We have asked that declassification of coconut tree be rescinded,” TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai said. Giving details Sardesai said the Investment Promotion Board will be tightened, unfriendly industries will not be welcome and jobs will have to be given to Goans. Sardesai also assured a review of all the IPB projects and to give relief to tenants.
Sardesai also said that the announcement of the coconut tree as State tree would be made in the CMP, and that preservation of natural and architectural heritage would be taken up.
The Minister wants the CMP of the government to be reflected in the speeches on June 18 at public functions. The CM assured the ministers that a copy of the CMP would be emailed to them on Saturday.
