MARGAO: In an effort to provide specialty services in tertiary care, multi-specialty hospital Wockhardt has opened an out patient department at Mabai hotel, Margao.
Launched at the hands of President of Senior Citizens Forum Goa Diego D’Costa, the OPD is meant for patients who look forward to an alternate opinion to their medical problems, besides patients who have been operated at various Wochkardt hospitals.
The OPD will provide full-fledged super specialty services and dedicated consultants across specialties such as heart care, bone & joint, urology, internal medicine and brain and spine.
Commenting on the launch of the OPD, Wockhardt Goa head Dr Anju Tiwari said that specialist doctors from Wockhardt will be running the OPD centre.
“The reason behind the launch of the OPD is to provide super specialty consultation. The OPD will benefit people of Margao at large and nearby areas for any medical-related problems”, he said.
President of Senior Citizens Forum Goa Diego D’Costa, who inaugurated the OPD said, it was a proud feeling that Wockhardt has taken an initiative to expand healthcare services in the state.
Wockhardt GM, Business Development Surinder Dang said that Wockhardt is committed to take medical services at the door steps of the common man. He said consultants such as Dr S Mukhopadhyay, Dr Rahul Prasad, Dr Shailendra Massey, Dr Madhav Sanzgiri, Dr Mudit Khanna, Dr Connie D’Silva, Dr Madhuja Sawaikar and Dr Aditya Sai will visit the OPD.
