DESTERRO-VASCO: The feast of the Our Lady of Desterro was celebrated with great spiritual favour and devotion at Our Lady of Desterro Church, Vasco-da-Gama on Sunday. Traditionally the feast is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of January, but this year January 16 being a Sunday and also coinciding with the feast of St Joseph Vaz, the feast of Our Lady of Desterro was postponed to January 23.

The main celebrant for the feast mass was Fr Kenneth Teles, the Parish Priest of Sancoale church and also the dean of the Mormugao Deanery. The Parish Priest Fr Xavier Natividade Braganza and Fr Anthony Lopes were the other con-concelebrants at the feast mass.
