Car used in murder case released

The Swift Dzire which was used to abduct the deceased in the headless body murder case has been released by the JMFC, Margao on Wednesday.
In another development, the JMFC has rejected the bail applications filed by the four accused persons, Jayesh Naik and his brothers, Govind and Rajesh, besides Nitin Dicholkar.
The bail applications were rejected by the court on grounds of jurisdiction since the murder is triable by the sessions court.
Maina Curtorim PI Sidhant Shirodkar confirmed that the JMFC has ordered the release of the Swift Dzire after securing a bond of Rs eight lakh.
The police had seized the Dzire car after investigations into the sensational case revealed that the vehicle was used to abduct the deceased from Pedda-Benaulim to Margao and then to Rumdamol-Davorlim housing Board area.
