RAIA: Fr Agnel YSC, Paroda, edged past Guardian Angel SC 5-2 via tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat inter-village football tournament played at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal, on Saturday.
Clifton Fernandes gave lead to Fr Agnel YSC, while Cyril Dias equalised for Guardian Angel SC in the full time. In the ensuing tiebreaker, Kanchan Kiro, Salvin Fernandes, Melson Fernandes and Rohan Gaonkar netted for Fr Agnel YSC, while only Godwin D’Costa shoot in the target for Guardian Angel SC. Kanchan Keiro of Fr Agnel YSC was presented by the man-of-the-match award by Lucio Gomes.
