PANJIM: Goa’s Anura Santosh Prabhudesai became India’s No. 1 badminton player in women’s singles and also attained the top position in the women’s doubles ranking in the recent rankings released by the Badminton Association of India.
Anura tops the chart with 2882 ranking points ahead of second placed Shriyanshi Pardeshi, who is on 2471 points in singles.
Meanwhile in women’s doubles rankings, Anura leads the chart with 1804 ranking points. Agna Anto is on second spot with 1615 points.
It is a rare honour which Anura has managed to reach with her talent, hard work and dedication. It is double glory for her and for Goa and yet another proud moment for the State.
