MRF, Calangute got the better of Taj, Benaulim 3-2 in the 1st all-Goa 4-a-side indoor hockey tournament organised by Goans Hockey at Don Bosco indoor auditorium. Throughout the tournament one was able to feast upon some scintillating display of stick work , pace and passion. The young lads from Bastora delighted the Sunday crowd with some splendid display of “total hockey”.
Lloyd Macedo, vice-president of Goans Hockey welcomed and appreciated the teams for their commitment and passion for the sport. Fr. Ralino D’Souza, director of Don Bosco Oratory was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
Pankaj Karapurkar and Alfy Fernandes of Bastora were awarded most promising young players award. Dexter Pereira , treasurer proposed the vote of thanks.
