MAPUSA: Araddy A registered a well deserved 3-1 win over Youth Club of Orda in the inter-ward football tournament, organised by Youth Boys of Araddy-Candolm, played at Candolim ground, on Sunday.
It was in the 5th minute, Sudhir Gawas scored after YC Orda keeper Salu Baretto failed to collect the ball cleanly, 1-0.
Finding themselves a goal down, YC Orda pressed in search of an equalising goal and finally managed in the 20th minute when they were awarded a penalty after Shivram had handled the ball, Lyris DSouza made no mistake to score 1-1.
Araddy regained their lead in the 35th minute, through Cajie Colaco off a cross from Jackson Fernandes- 2-1.
Crossing ends, YC Orda tried their level best to find the leveller but they couldn’t surpass the resolute Araddy defending.
Ten minutes before the final hooter, Sudhir Gawas connected the ball into the goal off a cross from Joao Colaco to make it 3-1.
