Sernabatim Beach was perhaps the Queen of South Goa beaches till about three years ago but of late the entrance to the beach resembles a landfill with all sorts of garbage strewn around, most dangerous of which are the discarded face masks.
With the country and State firmly in the grip of a second wave of COVID-19, I would request the village/municipal sanitation authorities to dispose of the trash as not only is it an eyesore for beach users but it also has the potential to jack up the contagion, courtesy the infected waste dumped there.
