PANJIM: Dando Boys Club, Benaulim eased past United Boys of Dando 4-0 in the Goa Football Association Third Division League, at Dando ground, Benaulim.
Ethan Fernandes was the star of the evening as the lad scored a fine hat-trick for the winning team with all his three goals coming in the first half.
He first opened the scoring in the ninth minute before completing his brace in the 23rd minute. Ethan scored his treble at the half hour mark. The winners led 3-0 at the break.
Changing ends, United Boys of Dando, Colva showed some fighting spirit as they attacked in numbers but failed to break the rival defense finally in the 77th minute the Benaulim side scored their fourth.
In the dying minutes of the game, Colva team managed to reduce the margin through Jeff Rodrigues.
In another match, at Tilamol ground, Fr Agnelo Youth Sports Club edged past Tilamola United Sports Club 3-2.
Tilamola took the lead in the 10th minute through Assli Carvalho but the joy was short-lived as Fr Agnelo restored parity in the 16th minute through Sweaten Fernandes.
However, Tilamola once surged ahead at the half hour mark though Selfino Gonsalves. The first half score remained 2-1 in favor of Tilamola.
Crossing over, second half substitute Salvito Fernandes made it 2-2 in the 85th minute before Sezwin Fernandes scored the match-winner in the 90th minute to steal three points from Tilamola United as Fr Agnelo YSC won 3-2.
