PANJIM: After receiving complaints from councillors over supervisors not being on duty, the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) on Friday resolved to conduct monthly audit of its supervisors.
“CCP has resolved to conduct monthly audit of supervisors as we had received complaints from councillors Sheetal Naik and Kishore Shastry claiming that the ward supervisors do not report for duty while also claiming that they are very arrogant,” a CCP official said.
CCP also denied permission to a telecom company for road cutting and laying of cables. “Earlier we had permitted telecom companies and a gas company to dig roads but after the digging work we noticed that they would not reinstate the road to its original condition. So until they repair the roads CCP will not give permission,” CCP said
CCP also deferred permissions for tendering the pay parking contract as councillors claimed that proper infrastructure should be created before doing so.
