CHANDOR: JN Mount Boys defeated FC Goa 4-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the15th All Goa Seamen football tournament, organised by Villa Marex Boys, Chandor and played at Villa Marex ground, Chandor on Monday.
Just in the second minute itself Mount Boys netted the first goal of the match through Louie’s powerpacked shot which took the deflection of FC Goa’s Ronson and sailed into FC Goa nets.
Again Mount Boys through Frazier should have found the ball at the back of FC Goa net but the rival keeper was equal to the task. Minutes later, Mount Boys netted the second of the match through Darren, who placed the ball past the helpless keeper.
Louie netted his brace and 3-0 for Mount Boys in the 36th minute.
Clison made it 4-0 for Mount Boys four minutes from time. With a minute to go, Clifton netted a goal for FC Goa.
JN Mount boys will meet the winners of Sun Moon Star and Villa Marex in the quarter final on September 15.
