They are possibly not keen on development in your area.” With these few lines, PWD minister Sudin Dhavalikar took out his frustration of the recent ZP election debacle, in which the MGP-BJP supported candidate Aprarna Naik from Sancoale constituency lost to independent candidate Mariano Rodrigues.
Dhavalikar was speaking after laying the foundation stone for an MLD sewage treatment plant with sewerage line connectivity and construction of a nullah worth Rs 3.25 core at Zuari Nagar slums on Thursday.
“Your former MLA Mauvin Godinho met me before the ZP elections and told me that even if I do endless work for the people of Zuari Nagar slums, MGP won’t get even single vote. We are not working for votes but with an aim to ensure that people live in hygienic conditions,” said Dhavalikar.
