A 31-year-old Delhi man who was due to get married next month was allegedly killed on September 6, with his body later dumped in a drain. His family and friends, however, continued receiving messages from his phone for nearly two days after his death.
Yuvraj Singh Manchanda, an HR employee at Adani Realty, had reportedly left home on the evening of September 6, telling his family he was heading to Gurgaon for an important meeting. He never returned.

According to his childhood friend Sahil, Yuvraj’s elder sister told him that Yuvraj had left on Sunday evening and had not come back.
Concern grew the following day when Sahil tried contacting him. On the evening of September 7, he sent Yuvraj several messages but received no clear response.
Sahil eventually called Yuvraj at around 4 am on September 8. The call was cut, after which a message arrived from Yuvraj’s phone saying he would call later.
Sahil then asked where Yuvraj was and why he was not responding. There was no further reply.
The case took a disturbing turn after Yuvraj’s body was found dumped in a drain. Police subsequently arrested his former colleague Anya Vats and her partner nearly two weeks after the killing, according to the report.
Yuvraj was reportedly preparing to get married the following month, and his bachelor’s party had not yet been planned.
The messages sent from his phone after his death added another layer of mystery to the case, leaving his family and friends believing that he was still alive.
The investigation is now focused on establishing what happened between Yuvraj leaving for Gurgaon and his death, as well as who used his phone to send messages to people close to him after the killing.
The arrests of Vats and her partner came nearly two weeks after the September 6 killing, according to The Indian Express report.
