MARGAO: District Collector N D Agrawal on Wednesday issued fresh permission for organizers of shigmo festivities in the city after withdrawing permissions granted earlier.
Agrawal told Herald that he has issued permission for the government appointed committee to organize the float parade on April 7. Similarly, he said his office has granted permission for the shigmo panel to hold festivities at Lohia Maidan beginning on Thursday.
Replying to a question, he said his office has withdrawn permissions granted to the samiti to hold the shigmo parade following the government’s undertaking filed in the high court in reply to the writ petition.
