KAKODA-CURCHOREM: Guirdolim Club downed Maina Sports Club 3-1 to move into the final of the Holy Cross Cup in memory of Albert J Fernandes organised by Holy Cross Sports Club, Kakoda-Vodlemoll, Kakoda ground, on Tuesday.
Guirdolim Club took the lead in the first half through Joaquim Carvalho’s placement shot in the 19th minute.
As the match progressed in the second half, Irfan Yadwad’s curling shot made it 2-0 for Guirdolim Club.
Two minutes later, a defensive error by cost Guirdolim a goal scored by Myson.
Later in the dying minute, Irfan Yadwad scored the third goal for Guirdolim. Maina SC didn’t have much chances in the game as Guirdolim Club defended well.
Guirdolim Club will now meet the winners of Sarzora Sports Club and Ambelim Sports Club.
