The residents of Kalay-Sanguem felicitated Vilas Dessai on his election as executive member of Goa Cricket Academy (GCA), at a special function organized by Kalay panchayat at Government High School, Kalay, recently.
Industrialist Arjun Salgaocar complimented Dessai and claimed that his appointment was a blessing for the development of cricket in the remote area. He stated that the Salgaocar family was in the process of constructing a full-fledged ground in Sanvordem constituency.
Kalay sarpanch, Santosh Gaonkar who presided, appreciated the good work undertaken by Dessai in the village and congratulated GCA President, Dayanand Narvekar for giving Desai a representation in the GCA.
Dessai assured that he would work hard for the development of cricket in remote areas.
Others who attended the function were Somnath High School Headmaster, Guirish Tendulkar, Dabal sarpanch, Rama Gaonkar, Krishna Gawas, panch Vinod Gaonkar and PTA president Foto Gaonkar.
