Arlem Sports Club outclassed Amardeep Cricket Club on the second day of Sanguem Cricketers tournament, on Monday.
Down by seven wickets, Arlem SC scored 201 runs in 20 overs. Nawas at 56 not out and Vasu at 43 were the top scorers for the winners.
The other scorers were Praveen (22) and Sunny (26). For Amardeep, Rupesh claimed 4 for 39 and Vishnu 2 for 37 were the wicket takers.
In reply, Amardeep scored 151 for seven. Rupesh Naik (38), Shidu Naik (39) and Rajdeep Naik (25 not out) played well.
For Arlem, Murli had the figures of 3 for 40, Suraj 2 for 28 and Govinda 1 for 29.
In another match, Sanvordem Gym scored 115 for 7 in 20 overs against Shirgao Criketers.
Vipul at 24, Paigambar at 22 not out and Mahadev at 22 top scored for Sanvordem Gym.
Bowlers Vaman and Vivek took two wickets each while Saish, Manoj and Shiva claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Shirgao Criketers piled up 116 runs for 1 in 14 overs.
Chandrakant Ghadi 69 not out and Saish 21 gave Shirgao Criketers an easy win. Sachin 1 for 30 was the lone wicket taker for Sanvordem Gym.
On Sunday, Warriors and Saguem Cricketers cruised into the second round.
