Goan girls make good start, boys lose

PANJIM: The Goan basketeers started their campaign on a bright note defeating Jharkhand girls 23-17 (13-0, 2-0, 0-10, 8-7) at the ongoing 41st National Sub-Junior Basketball Nationals held at Nashik.

Catherine Barretto with 11 points was outstanding for Goa.
In the boys team, Punjab outplayed Goa 60-18 (24-10, 16-6, 13-0, 7-2). 
Vishan Jeej Singh, 14 points, was outstanding for Punjab while Reuben Fernandes, 8 points, tried to bring the margin down.
