Stray dogs occupying the premises of the municipal market at Upper Bazaar in Ponda is dangerous and a health hazard for the customers. The menace turns dangerous for the lives of visitors coming here in large numbers for making purchases of different sorts.
In case the dogs happen to bite any visitor, it would certainly lead to adverse consequences. The menace has been existing at these premises for quite a long time now. But the Ponda Municipal Council as a competent authority has been unable to initiate favourable action to curb the same.
Let us hope that at least now some positive action would be initiated in this serious matter in public interest. Such a step would go a long way in assuring safety to public at large.
