Aleixo,Alemaos clash at meeting

The House committee meeting on the national highway today was postponed without any decision after heated arguments between Power Minister Aleixo Sequeira and the Alemao brothers.
The meeting was scheduled to discuss the new alignment for the NH17, which has been drawn by a joint committee.
However, a comment by the Sequeira that people were losing faith in government started the argument, sources told Herald.
Sources stated that Sequeira’s statement did not go down well with Public Works Department Minister Churchill Alemao and Urban Development Minister Joaquim Alemao.
Joaquim and Churchill immediately stood up and asked Sequeira “Why did you not say this in the House?”
There was no further discussion and the meeting was postponed for February 12.
When contacted PWD Minister Churchill Alemao neither confirmed nor refuted the developments at the meeting.
