Coach Ferrando tests positive for COVID-19

The gaffer is in good health at the moment and showing no symptoms

PANJIM: FC Goa Head Coach Juan Ferrando has been tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating according to the necessary guidelines stated FC Goa on Thursday in a statement.

“The gaffer is in good health at the moment and showing no symptoms. The club will continue to monitor the situation and provide all the necessary support,” stated the Club.

“FC Goa is and will continue to follow all protocols relating to COVID-19. Testing continues to be done with rigour for the entire team. The rest of the players and staff have all tested negative,” further added FC Goa. It can be recollected, the head coach had attended the FC Goa development team match against Youth Club of Manora on March 15 at Duler Stadium, along with the senior team management and development team officials.

“The club urges anyone who came in contact with Ferrando in the past few days to get themselves tested and take necessary precautions,” the statement concluded.
