MARGAO: Tilamol United Sports Club and Our Lady of Snows HS, Raia recorded victories in Alvernaz and Lalsuh Alemao memorial under-14 football tournament organized by Salcete Football Club at church ground, Chinchinim, Saturday.
In the first match, Tilamol United SC outplayed Mae dos Pobres HS, Nuvem 5-0 after leading 2-0 at the lemon break.
The highlight of the day was a brilliant brace by Berton Carvalho. Tilamol United started the game in a whirlwind fashion and took the lead through Alfron Faria.
Spurred by the early success, Tilamol piled on the pressure and doubled the lead when Jaison punted the ball to the far corner of the net.
Tilamol United continued to dictate terms and enjoyed total domination when striker Bertan who was fulcrum in the rival attacks struck twice to complete his brace. Joel Baretto drove the final nail into the rival coffin.
Our Lady of Snow’s HS, Raia swamped Salcete Football Club 3-0. Our Lady of Snow’s led 1-0 at the breather.
Rolland Vaz, Suraj Patil and Ryaz Sayeed were the goal scorers.
