Myron, Joel in India U-13 football team

Two Goans, defender Myron S Mendes and midfielder Joel Joaquim Fernandes have been selected for the India Under-13 boys football team which will leave Kolkata on Saturday for Iran to participate in AFC Under-13 boys festival of football,South Asian Region, to be held from May 17 to 24 in Iran. Myron has been named vice-captain.
Bhutan ,Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal and hosts Iran are the other participating countries.
Matches in Format I will be played on May 19 and 20. Matches of Format II will be played on May 22 and 23. The skill test will be held on May 20 and 21.

Defenders: Jimmy Singh Maibam, Calvin Christopher Lobo/capt, Yogesh Kumar, Anis K, Myron Seize Mendes/vice-capt, Nitin Jayal, Mohd. Sajid Dhot, Bidyanand Singh Ningthoujam, Manraj Singh.
