PANJIM: As Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga returned home in the wee hours of Saturday, Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant visited his Delhi residence.
Lambasting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its national convenor Arvind Kejriwal for misusing the Punjab Police and its powers, Sawant termed the unlawful arrest of Bagga as ‘kidnapping’.
“My brother Bagga had just posted a tweet but Kejriwalji registered a case via the Punjab Police, who later ‘kidnapped’ him without even informing the Delhi Police. I will definitely term this act ‘kidnapping’,” Sawant told the media in Delhi.
He said that the way Bagga’s father was treated was totally wrong. “I appreciate Bagga and his BJP Yuva Morcha for standing together during this fight and for standing for truth,” the CM said.
BJP Goa Yuva Morcha also held a protest in Panjim against the unlawful arrest of Bagga. They burnt an effigy of Kejriwal.
Speaking further, Sawant said the people of Goa have shown Kejriwal and his party their place and same will happen in Delhi soon.
“What happened in Goa will repeat even in Delhi. People of Delhi will also stand against injustice. AAP will never come to power in Goa,” he said.
