The Colva police on Monday sent a call letter to Sara Pacheco, the estranged wife of Tourism Minister, Mickky Pacheco for investigations into the complaint filed by her against Pacheco.
PI Colaco said Sara was called in the evening to verify certain facts and other documents in connection with the complaint lodged by her against the Tourism Minister.
The police officer said that Sara along with the President of Bailancho Ekvott Auda Viegas made her presence felt at the Colva Police Station around noon, when he had already left for Panjim to attend the meeting of police officers called to review the security arrangements in the State.
Sara and other women activists had last week taken out a huge rally to the district police headquarters, Margao, wherein they demanded justice to Sara.
They had contended that the police had not been acting on the complaint filed by Sara against Pacheco in recent times.
The police have already asked for legal opinion from the Director of Prosecution on the complaint lodged by Sara against the Tourism Minister, with DySP Umesh Gaonkar assuring the women activists that the police would act as per the legal opinion.
