Arpora created more chances in the first half but were unlucky as striker Pramod Mardolkar was denied thrice by the crossbar.
Calangute got their act together and dominated the second session but time and again were denied by Arpora goalkeeper Ritesh. The latter effected saves to deny Calangute’s Armando and Sherwin from scoring.
In the dying minutes, Calangute’s Francisco Fernandes could have scored the match-winner but his powerful shot went inches wide with only the rival custodian at his mercy.
In the tie-breaker, Gaurish Naik, Kalpesh Naik, Harish Diukar, Saish Palyekar scored for Arpora while Alber Gonsalves, Sherwin Lobo, and Blaise Halankar converted for Calangute.
