MARGAO: Teachers, who retired prior to January 1, 2016, have been advised to visit school from where they retired for pension revision.
The Discriminated Teachers Forum has complained that the circular for pension revision hasn’t reached to any of the schools. Therefore, the Forum met and requested the authorities to speed up the process.
According to the Forum, a circular has been issued by the Directorate of Education to the heads all schools directing them to get the proforma of pension revision filed by the retired teaching and non-teaching staff and forward the same to Directorate of Accounts (Pension) for revision.
Such staffers are advised to visit their last respective schools served, for filling up the proforma, to submit the same to respective zonal offices.
“We are shocked to hear that no such circular has been received by the schools from the Directorate of Education,” a Forum member said.
