PONDA: A 24-year-old youth Ashutosh Kamath Bambolkar from Bokadbag-Bandora was seriously injured in an accident reported near the Bandora Panchayat at around 8 pm.
According to police, the incident occurred when Ashutosh riding his motorcycle, suddenly lost control and fell into a 10-metre deep pit.
He was sustained serious injuries including a leg fracture.
To his luck, a pedestrian noticed Ashutosh and informed the police, who later informed the fire department personnel. The Ponda fire personnel removed Ashutosh with the help of a ladder and rushed him to the Ponda Sub District Hospital. The motorcycle is yet to be removed from the pit.
