PONDA: The 37 Samraat Sangeet Sammelan, a national conference of Indian classical music will be held on November 26 and 27 at Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir, Ponda.
The sammelan will be organised jointly by Samraat Sangeet Academy and Department of Art and Culture. The event will be inaugurated on November 26 at 5.31 pm by Rajendra Manerikar. MLA Lavoo Mamledar will be the guest of honour. The inauguration will be followed by clarinet concert by Pt Naracinhalu Vadavati from Bangalore and vocal concert by Vidushee Sangeeta Bandopadhayay from Kolkata.
On Nov 27 at 10 am, a vocal concert by Pt Shubda Paradkar from Aurangabad will be held followed by another vocal concert by Pt Sarathi Chatterji of Gurgao at 4.30 pm. Subash Parwar, Pt D Kumardas, Pt Sandeep Chatterjee and Ustad Arshad Ali Khan will perform.
