MARGAO: In a shocking incident, a rape accused attempted to commit suicide and later absconded from the hospital after getting discharge.
As informed by the Margao police the accused Raheem Khan was booked under Sections 376, 323, 109 of IPC, Sections 4 and 16 of the POSCO Act, and Section 8(2) of the Goa Children Act. Earlier, the victim girl had attempted suicide.

Upon the hearing of the complaint being registered the accused attempted suicide by consuming Retol poison. Later, he was admitted in the hospital for treatment, but he went missing soon after getting discharge. Earlier, also the accused had attempted suicide.
