MARGAO: A yoga training session was held for police on the occasion of International Day for Yoga on Monday as police work for long hours and in stressful conditions and hence yoga is seen as a way of incorporating wellness regime in them.
All officers of South Goa police participated in the yoga session held on line though video conferencing. Deepak Amonker, Principal of KB Hegdewar HSS, who is an experienced yoga teacher, conducted the session and provided them with guidance on various facets and advantages of practicing yoga.
He further provided the police staff with many simple to perform yoga exercises that can be performed at anytime and without the need of any equipment. The police staff greatly appreciated the simplicity of the yoga exercises thought to them.
