I am compelled to focus the attention of the Traffic Cell of Goa Police Dept to be little vigilant in performing their duties near zebra crossing in controlling the situation while allowing commuters/ pedestrians to cross the road.
I am an eye witness on many occasions when the police sudden stop vehicles which are nearing the zebra crossing and it so happens that unintentionally the driver crosses the line resulting into a penalty for the offence. The personal on duty should wait till the situation is fluid, safe and clear for crossing and avoid every possible hitting case behind the vehicle or pedestrian. Yes, I agree the driver should keep safe distance between them which is very important, in certain cases drivers are deliberately crossing zebra line giving a deaf ear to the concerned.
