PANJIM: Welcoming the Assembly Session on Feb. 28, Adv. Aires Rodrigues termed it as a victory for democracy.
Rodrigues has, however, stated that it was a matter of concern that the Advocate General Saresh Lotlikar and the Additional Solicitor General Atmaram Nadkarni had earlier wrong advised the Government that there was no need to summon the Assembly session.
Rodrigues has stated that this government which is now known for all its U-turns over the last five years has at least taken the final U-turn in the right direction.
Meanwhile, a division bench of the Bombay High Court at Goa will hear the petition on Monday filed by Rodrigues seeking directions to the government to comply with the mandate of Article 174 of the Constitution of India.
