Parsekar confident that Fatorda will vote for BJP

MARGAO: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has expressed confidence that the residents of Fatorda will elect the candidates contesting the elections under the banner of ‘Madgao Development Front’, supported by the BJP.

In a boost to the campaigns of Damu Naik’s panel in Fatorda and the BJP Margao Mandal, Parsekar and South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar were present for their meetings in Fatorda on Sunday.
In a dig at their opponents in Fatorda, Parsekar said it is always better to give information on work accomplished than to give empty promises. He said, “Last assembly elections, BJP lost the Fatorda seat. But I know people have realised their mistake, and that’s the reason BJP got a marginal lead in Fatorda constituency in the Lok Sabha election.”
Regarding the Margao municipality, Parsekar remarked that it had seen 10 chairpersons in the last 10 years, and no development work had been carried out due to this instability.
Parsekar also highlighted how the BJP government had simplified the process of getting loans under the ‘Chief Minister Rojgar Yojana’, while pointing out that everyone cannot get government jobs. He also informed that work orders for the Galgibaga and Talpona bridges have already been issued.
