PANJIM, AUG 23 (HR) — General Secretary of the Congress party Vijay Sardesai and former manager of a private telecom Suraj Lotlikar are the two non-official directors appointed by the government of the reconstituted Goa Education Development Corporation.
It may be recalled that after the term of the earlier committee headed by M K Shaikh was over, the Education Minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate himself was appointed as the new chairman nearly two months ago.
The other directors of the Corporation have been appointed recently in a notification signed by Education Secretary Dr M Modassir.
The other directors on the GEDC are: Secretary of Technical Education, Director of Higher Education, and Director of Technical Education. The managing director of GEDC will be the ex-officio secretary, the notification said.
