Shailendra Singh, the brain behind Percept, Sunburn and Guestlist4Good, remains ahead of the
curve with his hard work and ingenuity. From sports marketing firms to film
companies and talent management to other corporate social responsibilities, his
start-ups are diverse. With over 30 years in the entertainment, media and
communication industry, building networks, developing skill sets and garnering
experience, he wants to take this industry one step further by prioritising
wellness with BOSS INDIA LLP’s first ever, fully integrated fitness, lifestyle
and music festival, WFF: World Fitness Festival.

The World Fitness Festival is the next level of festivals for
fans of music and fitness across the globe, bringing together both, fitness as
well as music, to create on big event. An event that not only brings people
together to dance and listen to music but come outside and play, work out and
create a healthy lifestyle together.

“World Fitness Festiva is a unique idea. It originated with the
current energy of the youth,” says Shailendra Singh. With the new generation
giving a lot of importance to appearance and staying fit compared to the older
generations, the festival originated with the idea of combining wellness and
fitness with partying. “Fitness, lifestyle and music, that’s what the WFF is
all about,” he emphasises.

This first-of-its-kind festival will be held over a span of
three days, the proposed dates being December27, 28 and 29, 2019. Theseven
different stages will host activities like various fitness classes, exercise
workouts with experts from across the world, spiritual activities like yoga and
meditation all combined together with some amazing genres of music performed by
some of the most globally famous artistes. The festival will also host a
lifestyle conference featuring global mentors from different avenues of the
sports and fitness industry.

Shailendra Singh is no stranger when it comes to Goa, after
doing business in Goa since 1987, from his first film to his first event; he
hopes to be able to host this massive event here in Goa as well. “We’re
proposing Goa as the venue, but it depends on the Government. If it doesn’t
work out, we’ll have to look elsewhere like Mumbai or Delhi. I want to be
transparent with them, work alongside them. If they want to partner with me,
done, if they want to share my profits, done; but participate. I want to put
Goa back on the map of tourism but through the right route.” He was honest when
he said that Mumbai would be an easier option for him, but Goa has nostalgic
value for him; also, the world sees Goa as a tourist destination and it’s
important to keep that going.

Wellness being such a big industry, where the global ‘wellness
tourism market’ was valued at $639 billion in 2017, Shailendra wants to create
one of the largest wellness events in the whole world.

“This festival will be a massive opportunity for India. People
come from all over the world for spiritual retreats, meditation and Ayurveda;
now they will have a choice of fully immersing themselves into a full weekend
of fitness, while witnessing some truly incredible concerts at night,” adds
Shailendra.

He is proposing the same dates as always December 27 to 29,
sandwiching the festival between Christmas and New Year, creating a full week
of entertainment.

Shailendra has already proposed a meeting with the Minister of
Tourism. “I think the current Tourism Minister is fantastic because he also has
the portfolio for sports, so it’s god’s gift for me as he is the same minister
for both. His mind-set will be perfect for this because he’ll think
‘Entertainment, Tourism and Sports’ together.”

In
2019, Shailendra Singh is ready to revolutionise the festival experience and
put India on the global wellness tourism map, as Indians everywhere have become
more aware of the benefits and joys of staying healthy and fit.
