ASSOLDA-PARODA: Mandopa Sporting Club got the better of Sarzora SC 4-3 to move into the semi-finals of the 11th St Anthony Festival Cup organised by St Anthony Sports Club, Assolda, at Assolda Panchayat ground, on Tuesday.
Both teams played an attacking game. Sarzora SC led by two goals in the first half scored by Steflon D’Costa in the third and 14th minutes.
In second half, Mandopa netted through Rowan Pereira in the 38th minute.
Two minutes later, Clinton Niasso levelled terms to make it 2-2.
Rowan Pereira made it 3-2 in the 46th minute. With just seven minutes left for the final whistle, Prestly Gomes of Mandopa made it 4-2 .In the dying minutes, Hayden Cardozo of Sarzora made it 3-4.
Mandopa SC will now meet St Anthony SC, Assolda in the semi-finals on June 27.
