PEDDA-BENAULIM: St Jude Strikers, Betalbatim defeated Super Creations, Nuvem 3-2 via the tie-breakers to enter the semi-finals of the UK /US Boys trophy U-14 soccer tournament organised by Mix Friends Benaulim, at Xembu Moll ground, Benaulim, on Monday.
The first half was totally controlled by Betalbatim with skipper Joel D’Silva’s distributing fine passes. Nuvem captain Sakib and Enrique worked hard but their striker Osham wasted chances that were created.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Betalbatim scored through Joel, Ali and Mayburn while Joywin and Sakib scored for Nuvem.
