Francis: We are highest spenders on education

PANJIM: Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza on Friday stated that no previous government could match the BJP in the utilisation of funds for education.

PANJIM: Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza on Friday stated that no previous government could match the BJP in the utilisation of funds for education.
D’Souza was speaking at a function organised to distribute tablets to 268 students of Saraswat Vidyalaya High School Khorlim-Mapusa. Saraswat Education Society Chairman Narendra Kamat, Vice Chairman Pradeep Joshi, Secretary Adv RajiV Kolvalkar, Treasurer Ashok Kenkre, School Manager Ramnath Burye were among others present for the function.
Speaking further, D’Souza asked the students to make best use of the technology given to them. 
“The government has done its best and has equipped the students with latest technology available in the market. Now, the responsibility lies with the students to make best use of technology,” DSouza stressed.
Earlier, Headmaster Sanjiv Prabhu Dharwadkar welcomed the gathering, Deeplaxmi Moghe compered the programme, while Tereza Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.
