MAJORDA: Our Lady of Gloria, Rachol squeezed past Rossman SC 5-4 via the tie-breaker as they moved into the quarter-finals of the 29th Fr Basilio Andrade memorial football tournament, at Musson ground, Majorda, on Saturday.
The teams were locked on 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
Both the teams were evenly balanced and matched each other and created several goal scoring chances in both the session.
OL Gloria took the lead in the very first minute through Joustan Barbosa while in the run of the match Wilson Fernandez netted the equaliser in the 14th minute.
Both the goalkeepers brought up some smart saves.
In the resulting tie-breaker, Gloria SC scored through Joustan Barbosa, Jovsthan Cardozo, Danny Fernandes and Liston Cardozo while Mayron Fernandes, Hilton Fernandes and Jamison Moniz were on target for Rossman SC.
